February is National Children’s Dental Health Month (NCDHM)

All over the U.S. Dental professionals are promoting the benefits of good oral health to children.

This year’s NCDHM campaign slogan is “Choose Tap Water for a Sparkling Smile”.

Children’s teeth are meant to last a lifetime, and a healthy smile is important to a child’s self-esteem says Dr. Charles Pike of All Aspects Dental in Oakland.  As a 3rd generation dentist, Dr. Pike recognizes a sparkling smile and likes to spread the word or in his case, spread the smile.

During the month of February, Dr. Pike has visited local elementary schools promoting brushing 2 minutes, 2 times a day and eating healthy for a healthy smile.  The students joined in fun activities to help them learn the importance of good oral health care.
