Now that school’s out, it’s the perfect time to gather up the kids for an outdoor adventure with Lake County Parks & Trails. Staff offer free guided excursions, educational hikes and more throughout the month of June. In addition to wildlife-watching, Lake County’s parks, trails and recreation facilities are ideal places to play a sport, have a picnic, or enjoy time at a playground or dog park.

Volunteers are invited to assist in surveying the reserve’s birds and butterflies. Participants should bring binoculars and field guides. Experience is a plus, but not required.
