Eleven-year-old Nate “The Great” Jackson likes country music and roller coasters. His parents say he always has a smile on his face and loves life. He is also a brave young autistic boy who has, since birth, battled a variety of health issues including heart and kidney problems, and most recently post-transplant lymphoma cancer.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions, providing them an amazing experience, a dream come true. On Thursday, June 15, Nate’s family brought him to his favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse, for the surprise Make-A-Wish Reveal dinner and party. He met Andy the Armadillo and was told that he and his family will be going to Dollywood! Nate can’t wait.
On Saturday, June 17, a Poker Run & Dinner will be held in support of Nate. Registration is at 9 am; kick off at 10:30 am. Entry fee is $15 per bike, $10 for 2nd rider (includes dinner plate).
