Community Development Volunteer Board Members Wanted For Free Children’s Equine Assisted Therapy Program

This is a great opportunity for a few people who love horses and desire to help our community’s children with special needs to further their adjustment into society. We are a 501(C)(3) veteran service organization working with veterans for the past 20 years. We recently re-located from south Florida to the Groveland/Clermont, FL area and now looking to fill seats for our new children’s Community Development Board.

The seats will have people with diverse backgrounds; for example; you can have experience in the EAT field, mental health field, fundraising, accounting or finances, recruiting, training/showing horses, natural horsemanship or direct experience with children with special needs.

As a board member you will have to possess the following skills; commitment to your tasks, desire to help children with special needs, loyalty to the organization, be able to handle confidentiality and you will have to love to solve problems. The board members will meet once a month, and will probably have one to three hours a week commitments to the program.

If you are interested, e-mail a personal letter with your background and a brief description why you would desire one of these positions to vetsmpc@aol.com
