Another great turnout at this week’s Clermont parkrun as 78 runners, walkers and joggers completed the course along beautiful Lake Minneola. Most of this week’s participants were from our local area, and as always we also had some International visitors join us! The group was made up of 13 first timers, and 16 runners recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 6 different clubs took part.
John Brodie led the way this week taking first place overall with a great time of 18:03. Tony Lahnston finished in second place with a time of 19:37 and Brad Argentine rounded out the top 3 with a time of 21:16.
On the ladies side, Reagan Parks took first spot with a strong time of 21:59. Another one of our local residents, Yolimar Bolivar, who is also training for an upcoming marathon took second with a time of 23:51 and Marylou Brunetta had a personal parkrun best with a time of 26:11.

The Clermont Waterfront parkrun takes place every Saturday morning at 7:30 A.M. starting at Lake Hiawatha Preserve, 450 12th St, Clermont, FL 34711. Please come out to join us as parkrun is open to all levels of runners and walkers, so if you are just starting out or if you are an accomplished runner there is always room for you. The female record is held jointly by Kate BAZELEY who recorded a time of 17:17 on February 20th, 2016 and by Ani VELTCHEVA who recorded a time of 17:17 on March 18th, 2017..
The male record is held by Jonathan GLEN who recorded a time of 15:43 on August 6th, 2016.
Clermont Waterfront parkrun started on April 27th, 2013. Since then 5,608 participants have completed 16,418 parkruns covering a total distance of 82,090 km, including 2,697 new Personal Bests.
