Nine of the Firefighters will be funded through a Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response (SAFER Grant). The Federal SAFER grant provides 75% funding for two-full years and 35% the third year. The SAFER grant award will allow the City of Clermont Fire Department to better serve the citizens of Clermont during emergencies by increasing staffing levels with the growth of the City. The amount of the grant is $1,282,331.00.
