South Lake Elks Lodge #1848 recently purchased the Rusty Fox at 649 12th Street in Clermont. The building was remodeled.  New flooring was installed throughout and the signage was replaced. Now South Lake Elks Lodge #1848 is ready to show off their new home.

In conjunction with the Elks 150th Anniversary as a Benevolent organization, South Lake Lodge #1848 will be holding its grand opening on Saturday, February 17th beginning at 3 pm to closing. Food and entertainment will be part of the fun day.

This event is open to the public to give them an opportunity to find out what their local Elks’ lodge does in their community. Elk projects include Christmas for Kids, Dictionary Program to 3rd graders, Camp Scholarships, College Scholarships, Veteran’s programs, Drug-Free ribbons to the elementary schools, Children Therapy program and more.

“We always look forward to having local residents join us in our efforts for the community as we attempt to make a better life for veterans, the elderly, and children in need of healthcare”, says Joey Eberline, five-time past president of South Lake Elks Lodge, and an Elks member for over 20 years.
