Miriam Quiles, Resource Manager, Early Learning Coalition was the guest speaker at the recent Kiwanis Club of Clermont (KCC) meeting.  The Kiwanis Club of Clermont has been a long-time supporter of the Early Learning Coalition of Lake County, including the ELC’s “Day in the Park” event held each year.

The Early Learning Coalition of Lake County is a non-profit organization established in 1999 when the State of Florida passed legislation to create local school readiness coalitions to enhance children’s chances of achieving future educational success and becoming productive members of society. The Coalition oversees the School Readiness Program and the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) Program in Lake County. This includes funding, monitoring, contract management, and service provision.

At the finish of her presentation, KCC president Chuck Seaver presented a check in support of ELC.
