The Montverde Academy robotics team, the Metal-Heads 19122B, attended the 2025 VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas, where they competed against 820 of the top-ranked high school teams from around the globe.
The team delivered an outstanding performance, showcasing their engineering, programming, and strategic skills in one of the world’s most competitive robotics arenas.
- Division Ranking: 41st out of 83 teams in their division – placing them in the top 50%
- World Skills Ranking: 143rd out of 820 teams – placing them in the top 18% globally in driver and autonomous programming
- Competition Record: 5 wins and 5 losses during qualifying rounds
- Recipient of the Judges Award – a prestigious recognition presented to teams demonstrating standout characteristics in professionalism, perseverance, team identity, and engineering excellence.
