Clermont will pay tribute to America’s fallen heroes this Memorial Day Weekend with a powerful and moving display of patriotism and remembrance. The Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall, a scaled replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., will be on display at the Highlander Building & Pavilion Complex at Clermont Waterfront Park from May 24 through Memorial Day.
Submarine veteran Robert Mock is playing a key role in organizing both the escort for the wall on Saturday morning, May 24, and Clermont’s 2025 Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony, which will take place on Monday, May 26, at 11:00 am.
The wall’s arrival will be marked by an escort ride led by the Patriot Guard Riders. The community is encouraged to line the escort route to show their support and respect. Riders and supporters will gather at the Home Depot parking lot at 8:00 am. The official escort begins at 8:30 am, with the procession making its way through downtown Clermont, including a symbolic ride past City Hall, before arriving at the Highlander Building.
