Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter is proud to announce a generous grant of $150,000 from Publix Super Markets Charities in support of the organization’s Preservation & Repair program. In addition to this impactful financial support, Publix team members will roll up their sleeves and volunteer on May 27th at a Habitat construction site in Lady Lake.

Habitat Lake-Sumter’s Preservation & Repair program was launched in 2015 to address the increasing need for affordable housing solutions in the community. While many families already own homes, the cost of essential repairs often exceeds their financial means. The program ensures homeowners can remain in the homes they already own by addressing critical repairs such as roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and accessibility improvements.

Through both financial investments and hands-on volunteerism, Publix Super Markets Charities is helping families live in safe, stable homes right here in Lake and Sumter Counties. Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter is deeply grateful for Publix’s continued generosity and commitment to building stronger, healthier communities.

Publix Super Markets Charities Volunteer Day – Habitat for Humanity Lake-Sumter will take place from 8 am to 12 pm on Tuesday, May 27 at 40031 Oakridge Drive, Lake Lake.
