Whole-Person, Whole-Community Care

We believe health care should be convenient and accessible, and that means growing where our neighbors live. It’s important that when an emergency or medical need arises, patients are able to stay in their community for care.

We have operated a CentraCare urgent-care center in Clermont for more than a dozen years and look forward to continued partnership with the city and its residents. Our Clermont services will include primary and specialty physician practices, state-of-the-art emergency services, sports medicine and rehabilitation, lab services, diagnostic imaging, a cafe and community education programs.

Clermont, known as the “Choice of Champions,” is a city that prides itself on health and wellness. We believe AdventHealth is a perfect fit for Clermont, as our mission is to provide whole-person, whole-community care.

Keeping Pace with

Central Florida’s Fastest-Growing Communities

Clermont and the surrounding area are one of Central Florida’s fastest-growing communities.

We believe it's important that health care services keep pace with this growth so South Lake County residents have access to all of the healthcare services they need.

About Our Freestanding ERs

We believe patients should be able to receive care close to home, which is important during recovery and healing. Our freestanding ERs provide patients with emergency level care in their own community. If additional services are needed, AdventHealth has world-class, specialized care throughout Central Florida.

Our freestanding ERs typically have: 24 patient rooms, including two pediatric-friendly rooms; respiratory therapy; diagnostic imaging, including CT scans, X-ray and ultrasound; and a full-service laboratory.

Our ERs are staffed by a comprehensive clinical team including board-certified emergency physicians and emergency nurses. We anticipate 300 construction-related jobs will be created with just the ER, and about 100 full-time employees when it opens.

Investing in Our Communities

In 2018, AdventHealth provided $527 million in community benefit in Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Lake counties through charity care, health research and its support of local nonprofits that are tackling important issues such as mental health, food insecurity and chronic diseases.

Our community benefit also includes community-based, free medical services for the uninsured, such as our lung, diabetes, heart, mental health and after-hours clinics.

Lake County is home to nearly 35,000 people under the age of 65 who are uninsured. As a tax-exempt, faith-based organization, our financial resources do not go to shareholders and our resources stay right here in Florida allowing us to:

  • Invest in the latest technologies
  • Recruit leading physicians
  • Train future clinicians
  • Contribute millions of dollars to our community
  • Pioneer new treatments and research
  • Help community partners who rely on our support

AdventHealth, along with the Departments of Health, Aspire Health Partners and Orlando Health/South Lake Hospital just wrapped up our Community Health Needs Assessment, which takes a deep dive into the health of our communities. The results of the CHNA will be ready in a few months, and the data will guide where and how we invest in the community.
