Congratulations to the Clermont Environmental Services Team
Mayor Gail Ash and the City Council congratulated the Clermont Environmental Services Director Dennis Westrick and the Water Management Team on receiving the prestigious 2017 Plant Operations Excellence Award from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

Each year, Florida’s DEP presents awards to domestic wastewater and drinking water facilities around the state that demonstrate excellence in operation, maintenance, innovative treatment, waste reduction, pollution prevention, recycling or other achievements.

The Great Clermont Campout

Themed crafts made during the Great Clermont Campout

The 2nd Great Clermont Campout was, once again, a sold-out event, said Scott Davidoff, director of Parks and Recreation. Sixty families, some who have never camped before, staked out their tents, rolled out their sleeping bags, and enjoyed a family night of music, games, crafts, and lots more. Good Job Scott Davidoff and Team for another fabulous event.

Expansion of the Police Department Take Home Vehicle Program

City Council approved to allow Clermont police officers living between 20-40 miles from the city limits to take their assigned vehicles home at the cost of $35.00 per bi-weekly pay period. This program will benefit both the officers and the city.
