The Lake County Animal Shelter is helping more pets find loving, forever homes this October with a special adoption promotion in celebration of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.

Throughout October, adoption fees will be 50% off, giving families an even greater opportunity to welcome a shelter pet into their home.

“There’s something special about giving a shelter pet a second chance and welcoming them into your family,” said Whitney Boylston, Director of Lake County Animal Services. “We’re proud to celebrate Adopt a Shelter Dog Month and help more deserving shelter dogs find the loving families they’ve been waiting for.”

Every Adoption Includes:

Spay or neuter surgery
Initial vaccinations

The 50% off adoption promotion runs Oct. 1 through Oct. 31. Potential adopters are encouraged to visit the Lake County Animal Shelter, meet the available pets, and discover their newest family member.

That’s 50 percent off the shelter’s already very affordable prices, and while you can’t put a price on the unconditional love and improvement to quality of life that you get from a new shelter pet, it always helps to put that ability a little more within reach.
