<p>Legislative Policy Committee chairs, vice-chairs and members, were appointed by the League’s incoming President, City of Lakeland Commissioner Phillip Walker.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>As a Legislative Policy Committee member, Radzik will help develop the League’s Legislative Action Agenda, which details priority issues that are most likely to affect daily municipal governance and local decision-making during the upcoming legislative session, as well as help League staff understand the real-world implications of proposed legislation. Committee members are also asked to serve as advocates for local decision-making throughout the legislative process.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>“I’m honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Finance, Taxation and Personnel Committee,” said Councilman Radzik. “Each year I have looked forward to continuing to serve on this very important committee while representing the City of Groveland on the important issues facing us; including the preservation of Home Rule.”<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>Mike Radzik has a Master’s Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with extensive knowledge in Governmental Accounting. Radzik was first elected to Groveland’s City Council in November 2010, serving two years as Mayor. He was then elected to represent District 2 in November 2015, and was re-elected in November 2017 and again in November 2019.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
