The Legends Homeowners Association worked closely with the City of Clermont to re-purchase the Legends Golf Course and Country Club from the previous owners. Legends is located on Highway 27 in Clermont, just north of Hartwood Marsh Road.

The Legends Golf Course and restaurant closed almost 2 and one-half years ago. The current HOA Board of Directors worked very hard to put a plan together to save the property with 86% of the homeowners voting in favor of its purchase and reorganization of the property.

“We really are very excited about future plans and the overwhelming community support. Our long-term plan includes the resurrection of the golf course, driving range, putting green and the restaurant. The best part has been the community support and teamwork both with the HOA and fellow homeowners. We will be taking on this revitalization project with newly extended financing and without raising our HOA dues. Affordable and competitive Legends HOA fees include 24 hour gated security with a roaming patrol, tennis, basketball, pickleball, a newly expanded playground, pool, sauna, gym, Internet, cable, phone and more. Legends consist of 867 Homes encompassing 5 neighborhoods, while 450 have a beautiful scenic golf course view,” said Bill Garbarino.

Open To The Public: Once re-opened, the Legends Golf Course and restaurant will be open to the public later this fall. It is still to be determined whether they will start with 9 or all 18 holes. The restaurant will feature all the favorite comfy foods like burgers, pizza, wings, salads and more with beer, wine and a full bar

Legends Properties: Legends resident Arthur Padoan noted, “Many Homeowners were concerned for the past few years about the potential for devalued properties with the Golf Course closing”. Bill Garbarino noted, “The values are on the rise again with the announcement of the acquisition of the Golf Course property”. Board Member Pat Maloney has worked diligently to refurbish the Legends waterfall features at the entrance. He has also been working with the City of Clermont and the county to research how to improve their challenging golf course water and irrigation system. Board Member Scott Cohen has worked closely with the security team and roaming patrol keeping our community safe.
