Staybridge Suites by IHG, promises to provide top-tier accommodations for extended-stay travelers. Located at 3440 US Hwy 27, just west of the Hammock Ridge Road and US-27 intersection, this hotel will offer 72,000 square feet of floor space spread across four stories on a 2.50-acre site. With 100 rooms, Staybridge Suites will feature studio, one-, and two-bedroom suites, each designed with the needs of extended-stay guests in mind.

The Learning Experience – A New Educational Facility for Young Children is opening soon at 3444 S US Hwy 27, Clermont, located right next to Staybridge Suites. The educational facility will cater to children ages 6 weeks to 6 years, offering a nurturing environment designed to promote early childhood development and learning.

AdventHealth Expands Access to Healthcare – Healthcare services in Clermont are also expanding. AdventHealth is preparing to offer more access to urgent care and medical services. This addition will help ensure that residents have convenient options for medical needs and emergencies, strengthening the community’s healthcare network.

Sprouts Farmers Market has plans to open its first location in Lake County, and if all goes according to plan, will be located in the Shoppes at Hammock Ridge, off US 27 and Hammock Ridge Road, near the popular 7 Brew Coffee. Sprouts offers fresh produce, natural foods, and health-conscious selections, Sprouts will undoubtedly be a hit with residents looking for a convenient and nutritious grocery shopping experience.

Other Businesses Coming to Clermont

Gunther Volkswagen of Clermont – A New Destination for Automotive Services is building a new dealership on a spacious 8.6-acre lot, located northwest of the US 27 and SR 50 intersection. This state-of-the-art facility will offer various services, including sales and maintenance for Volkswagen vehicles. With direct access to US 27 from Highland Avenue, Gunther Volkswagen’s location will be easy to access for local and visiting customers alike.

Foodies in Clermont have plenty to look forward to with several new dining establishments coming soon to the area. These include:

• Another Broken Egg Café – A  brunch destination, is opening at 2633 S Hwy 27, Suite 101, offering a wide range of breakfast, lunch, and brunch options.  

• Bonefish Grill will open at 1201 E Highway 50. It’s part of Bloomin’ Brands, Inc., which also includes Outback Steakhouse and Carrabba’s Italian Grill.

• White Castle – Clermont residents are eagerly awaiting the arrival of White Castle. which is rumored to be opening near Costco.

Marriott TownePlace Suites will be situated on a 4.07-acre site approximately three-quarters of a mile east of U.S. 27 at Omar Street and Hwy 50. This planned four-story hotel will feature 112 rooms and offer guests a range of amenities, including a pool and an outdoor tiki bar area, creating a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Additionally, the development will include a 294-seat sit-down restaurant, catering to both hotel guests and local residents. 

Clermont West Investments has two more hotels on a site accessible from an existing driveway on Hooks Street. These hotels will significantly bolster the area’s lodging capacity.

Good Town Buffet, an all-you-can-eat Asian restaurant, will soon open in the former Red Lobster location in Clermont Landings.

The proposed development features a four-story hotel with 112 rooms. The hotel will have a pool and an outdoor tiki bar area, providing guests with a relaxing and enjoyable experience. A 294-seat sit-down restaurant will also be constructed for both guests and local residents. 

There is a law office currently on the site that will be demolished to make way for the project. 

The Clermont City Council will deliberate on the proposed development on Jan. 24.

• Costco Wholesale Warehouse is a membership-only warehouse club that offers a wide range of products at discounted prices, from groceries and electronics to home goods and appliances. The Warehouse will be located on a 20-acre site located on State Road 50 north of Magnolia Pointe-Clermont, across from Headquarters Honda and Headquarters Mazda; next to the Hyundai Dealership. The addition of a Costco-Clermont will provide a convenient place for residents to shop for all their household needs, fuel and automotive services. Planned to open by late 2023.

• Floor & Decor, a specialty retailer of hard surface flooring, offering the broadest in-stock selection of tile, wood, stone, related tools and flooring accessories at everyday low prices.  
• “Bojangles”, a Charlotte, NC-based, fast food chicken chain, submitted plans for a 2,858 -square-foot location with a drive-thru at the corner of Hwy 50 and Plaza Collina Blvd.  The restaurant will be part of the Plaza Collina Shopping Center in Clermont. 

• The Grove at Clermont, a multi-family development, located at 16551 Lake Trail Dr. (behind the future Plaza Collina). Opening soon.

• The Village Marketplace is a mixed-use development near Victory Pointe in downtown Clermont. The site is situated on one acre at the northwest corner of West Avenue and West Minneola Avenue. Opening late spring 2023.

• Crumbl Cookies, is a franchise chain of bakeries offering specialty flavored cookies. Soon to Open next to KeKe’s Breakfast Cafe on South Hwy 27, Clermont.

• A new Taco Bell is opening on the west corner of Hwy 27 and Hammock Ridge Rd. (across from Chick-Fil-A. They are now hiring and should be opening soon.

• CuraLeaf Dispensary – After years of neglect, the building on the corner of Hook Street and Hwy 27 is getting a facelift and will be ready to open soon as a CuraLeaf Dispensary. Curaleaf is a leading medical and recreational marijuana dispensary in the United States.
