Costco Wholesale, the long-awaited membership-only warehouse club, is now open in the Plaza Collina Shopping Plaza, Hwy 50-Clermont. Fans and spectators arrived early Tuesday morning (November 14) to take advantage of the special pricing and lots of food samplings.

The prices of thousands of quality, brand-name products have encouraged many individuals and businesses to join Costco to take advantage of membership offerings.

The Clermont Costco has a bakery, deli, tire service center, hearing aid center, optical department, pharmacy, gas station, and electric vehicle charging stations. It also has a large array of seasonal items.

To shop, individuals and businesses are required to purchase a membership which comes in various tiers, offering different benefits and rewards. This membership structure enables Costco to maintain lower prices by reducing overhead costs associated with traditional retail models.

Members of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce, as well as city officials, attended Costco’s grand opening and celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
