Development In South Lake – Bojangles, Costco, Schofield Road Paving, Lennar, And More

- Opening Soon: “Bojangles”, a fast-food chicken chain, will be opening at the corner of Hwy 50 and Plaza Collina Blvd. The restaurant will be part of the Plaza Collina Shopping Center in Clermont.

- NOW OPEN! Floor & Decor, offering the broadest in-stock selection of tile, wood, stone, related tools and flooring accessories, is open. It’s located at 4800 Collina Ter., Clermont in the Bella Collina Shopping Center.

- Costco Wholesale Warehouse is a membership-only warehouse club that offers a wide range of products at discounted prices, from groceries and electronics to home goods and appliances. The Warehouse will be located on a 20-acre site located on State Road 50 north of Magnolia Pointe-Clermont, across from Headquarters Honda and Headquarters Mazda; next to the Hyundai Dealership. The addition of a Costco-Clermont will provide a convenient place for residents to shop for all their household needs, fuel and automotive services. Planned to open November 14th.

Schofield Road Paving

Work continues on the paving of Schofield Road from the Orange County line to SR 27.  The Orange County segment of Schofield Road is already paved. Presently, the project is expected to be completed in November 2023.

An additional connection, SR 516, will be a toll road connecting 429 to 27, just south of Schofield Road. Property along Schofield Road will be rezoned and developed for development.

Lennar has a BIG Stake in South Lake County

- Groveland: Lennar paid $23.6 million for two future phases in the Cherry Lake mixed-use development, which also includes a future school site, a park and 30-acres earmarked for commercial development in the city of Groveland. (See attached)
- Minneola: The developer has also purchased and has plans to build over 800 homes in the first phase of the Minneola Sugarloaf Mountain project. A commercial center, school and fire station are also slated for development in phase 3 of the Project.
- Clermont: The developer has also been purchasing property in Clermont’s Wellness Way area. Olympus is a 243-acre development south of Clermont, across from Lake Louisa State Park, within the Wellness Way development corridor, and just west of Hamlin in Horizon West. Cross Ridge Exchange

What’s all that dirt being pushed between BJs Warehouse and Walmart on Hwy 27? Cross Ridge Exchange, a new commercial development on Hwy 27.

Macy’s Department Store is coming to the Winter Garden Village in the space being vacated by Bed Bath & Beyond located at 3215 Daniels Road.
