Haley Higgins was recently the line one hitter on Foundation Academy’s Beach Volleyball team surpassed 100 kills in 1 season.  This is the most kills in one season for Foundation Academy’s beach volleyball team. 

Haley has continued to grow into a dominant beach volleyball player as well as an indoor player.  She is great at seeing the court and not only having a great attack but shutting down pairs with her large block at the net. 

The girls will go on to the district tournament Wednesday, April 23, at Montverde Academy’s beach volleyball courts.

The Foundation Academy Beach Volleyball team started their preseason off with a match against Real Life.  They have been working hard for the past two weeks getting ready for the season and it was a great showing by all.  The girls won all 4 lines in straight sets ending in a final score of 4-0.  They take on Windermere Prep and Orangewood in their last preseason match before the season officially kicks off.

Foundation Academy’s Beach Volleyball team faced off against Real Life Christian on Monday afternoon for their senior night.  The girls showed up to celebrate their one and only senior Hailey L. who led her pairing to the first victory of the match. 

The line 2 victory set them up for a 1 to 1 tie with line 1 of Haley H. and Kaitlyn H. playing for the win. 

The girls showed amazing composure and had one of their best-played matches all year.  The Lions took the overall win 2-1. 

The girls have one more regular season match on Thursday, April 18th against West Orange at Gamepoint.

April 8 – Foundation Academy’s Beach Volleyball team played against TFA on Monday afternoon at Gamepoint Sports Complex.  Line 4 of Madelyn V. And Lilly W. Won their second match in a row with a great display of placement and control of the match.  The rest of the girls worked hard and showed moments of brilliance but ultimately came up short.  They continue to improve as pairs and are continuing to work out their chemistry with their partners as they prepare for the district tournament in a little over a week.  Their next match will be against Real Life Christian at Foundations Academy’s Tilden Campus. Foundation – 1 / TFA -3

April 4 – Foundation Academy’s Beach Volleyball team played an amazing match Thursday afternoon against Ocoee High School.  The Lions won all of their matches in straight sets.  Line 4 of Madelyn V. and Lilly W. had a breakthrough match winning in two straight sets.  All of the girls are becoming more comfortable with their individual styles of play as they prepare for districts in a couple of weeks.  Line 2 of Lily G. and Amelia D., Line 3 of Lilly B. and Hailey L., as well as Line 1 of Kaitlyn H. and Haley H. all had phenomenal matches.  The girls face off against TFA on Monday the 8th at Gamepoint.

Foundation Academy’s beach volleyball team had a tri-match on Tuesday afternoon against Windermere Prep and Lake Nona. 

The girls fought hard and had some moments of brilliance but in the end, lost both matches.  Line 3 of Lily Green and Amelia Donaho as well as line 4 of Lilly Bower and Ilaria Vouriotis won their matches against Lake Nona.  Lilly Weiss and Madelyn Valley had their first set win. 

Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks as the game schedule gets busy.

The Foundation Academy Beach Volleyball team came up just short Tuesday afternoon against Merritt Island Christian.  Line of one Haley H. and Kaitlyn H. went point for point with their opponents in one of the longest matches they have seen this year. 

Ultimately, they came up short 2 points in their third set.  Line 2 of Amelia D. and Lily G. went three sets as well but came out on top with excellent strategy and play from both girls.  They played one of their best matches to date and continue to develop as pair.  All other pairs worked hard and continued to improve areas of their game. 

Beach Volleyball is a game of strategy and skill and these girls continue to strive forward in both areas with each match they play.  Their next match-up is on March 26th vs Windermere Prep and Lake Nona.

The Foundation Academy Beach Volleyball team came out victorious on Monday afternoon (March 11), against Lake Buena Vista High School.  Lines 1,2, and 3 all won in 2 straight sets with line 4 coming up just short. 

Ilaria V. and Lilly W. had one of their toughest-fought matches yet with a tremendous effort.  They continue to improve each week. 

Haley H. and Kaitlyn H. continued their dominance at line 1 with some of the hardest serves and hits we have seen this year.  The technical play from both line 2 and 3 helped to secure the victory for the Lions.  They will face Merritt Island Christian in Merritt Island on Tuesday afternoon.

The Foundation Academy Beach Volleyball team came up short Friday afternoon, March 8,  against Orangewood Christian.  Line one of Haley H. and Kaitlyn H. were neck and neck in their match-up, but came up just short. 

All girls showed moments of brilliance but multiple days of hard matches and hot sun took a lot out of this amazing group of girls.  They learned a lot in each match and will take those lessons to heart going into next week.  The Lions will face Lake Buena Vista on Monday and Merritt Island Christian on Tuesday.

The Foundation Academy Beach Volleyball team recently went up against Windermere High School on Thursday afternoon for its second match of the season.  Each of the 5 lines in the match showed significant improvement and the Lions came away with the overall win. 

Line 1 –  Kaitlyn Hatfield and Haley Higgins dominated their line one match. 
Line 2 – Amelia Donaho and Lily Green played a very technical match and showed significant improvement taking down their opponents in 2 straight sets. 

Lilly Bower and Hailey Long finished up the win with their line 3 victory.  All of the girls played well in this match showing a lot of promise for the remainder of the season.

THE GAME ENDED: Foundation Academy 3 and Windermere High School 2
