From traditional tunes to Celtic rock, enjoy an incredible lineup of live Irish music throughout the day, featuring:

Grace O’Malley’s Public House, an authentic Irish pub featuring traditional Irish cuisine and a full bar, is the newest spot in Clermont where family and friends can gather for good food and laughter. Located at 2400 S US-27, Clermont, the long-awaited pub opened its doors to family and friends on Wednesday, July 24, offering a sneak peek into what’s coming to Clermont. This Friday, July 26th at 5pm, “The Neighborhood Pub on the Hill” will be open to the public.

Grace O’Malley’s menu offers a variety of traditional and signature drinks, including “Walk the Plank,” a delightful flight of four signature pairings. Their unique cocktails feature “The O’Malley Ol’ Fashioned,” “Siren’s Call,” “Clew Bay Iced Tea,” and “Fall From Grace.”

The food menu includes Bar-Bites, Irish starters, salads, and hand-held options. Traditional mains like Fish and Chips, Guinness Stew, and Shepherd’s Pie are already available, with Corned Beef and Cabbage coming soon.

The pub’s name is a tribute to Grace O’Malley, Ireland’s most famous stateswoman and a legendary pirate queen. Born in 1530 in County Mayo, she forged a career in seafaring and piracy from the age of eleven. Known for her fierce leadership at sea and shrewd political maneuvers on land, Grace O’Malley became a key figure on the west coast of Ireland in the 16th century. Her life was marked by dramatic encounters, including an expedition from Galway that attacked her castle on Clare Island, prompting her to turn to piracy and blockade the port of Galway.

Grace O’Malley passed away in 1603 at the age of 73, most likely at Carraigahowley Castle. She is buried in the ruins of the Cistercian abbey on Clare Island, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire.

Grace O’Malley’s Public House aims to bring the spirit of this legendary pirate queen to Clermont, providing a warm and welcoming environment for all.

The dine-in or take-out pub offers authentic Irish cuisine such as Shepherd’s Pie and Fish n’ Chips. 

Opening date is planned for mid-January.

The pub is named after Grace O’Malley, Ireland’s “Pirate Queen”,  the spirited daughter of a Gaelic chieftain. She shared her father’s love of the sea and eventually took over as captain of his fleet, ably commanding hundreds of crewmen to pursue trade, piracy, and rebellion against the English. Her bravery and boldness were legendary.
