The newly-relocated branch office is situated behind the Citrus Tower Village Publix Shopping Center and will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed from noon to 1 p.m.), Monday through Friday.

Passports will be processed by appointment only, however; marriage license processing is first come, first served. To schedule a passport appointment, visit www.LakeCountyClerk.org/Administrative_Services/Passports.aspx.

Customers will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing at all times while in the branch office. Those who are experiencing COVID-like symptoms, or who have recently been exposed to someone who has tested positive, are asked to not visit the office and to reschedule any appointments.

Passport services by appointment only, and marriage license services without an appointment, are also available Monday through Friday at the Lake County Courthouse, 550 W. Main St., Tavares, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and at the North Lake Branch Office, 902 Avenida Central, The Villages of Lady Lake from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed from noon to 1 p.m.).

Credit Cards accepted are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. The only debit cards which will be accepted are those with the Visa or MasterCard logo. The name on the credit or debit card must match the name on the court case. A 3.5% nonrefundable fee will be charged by the financial service provider for each credit card transaction.
• Filing Court Documents Online: Anyone can file a court document online at www.myflcourtaccess.com.
• Recording Documents Online: To record documents electronically, contact a verified e-recording vendor. For more details, visit the Lake County Clerk’s Official Records Division at www.lakecountyclerk.org/administrative_services/erecording.aspx.
• Drop-Boxes: For those looking to make a next-business-day payment, submit documents for recording, or deliver court documents for filing, the Clerk’s Office offers convenient drop-box locations for these services, which are available 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Check and money order payments to the Clerk’s Office should be made payable to “Gary J. Cooney, Clerk of Court & Comptroller.” Drop-boxes are available at the following two locations:
