The new Board is: Nanci Schwartz, APR, CPRC, President; Melanie Melvin, President-Elect; Sherri Owens, Secretary; Lynne Winker, Treasurer; Mary Wymer, APR, Accreditation; Stephanie Payne, Communications; Darryl Owens, Image; Kevin Yurasek, Membership; Jacqueline Whitmore, Programming; and Elisha Pappacoda, Immediate Past President.

“I am honored to serve as President of this group of talented communications professionals,” said Schwartz. “This year, the Board will continue to focus on strengthening the Chapter’s leadership, diversity and professional development offerings which benefit FPRA members and communications professionals in the area.”

Lake FPRA’s members represent many backgrounds, including private corporations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and counseling firms sharing the common goal of enhancing the public relations profession through ethical and standardized practices.

Founded in 2016, the Lake County Chapter has been propelled to excellence by communicators who are dedicated to their professional and personal development through participation with FPRA. The Chapter is the recipient of the 2021 FPRA President’s Transform award and Elisha Pappacoda was named the 2021 FPRA Chapter President of the Year. FPRA Lake boasts accredited members and recipients of both local Image and Golden Image Awards.
