Sheriff Peyton Grinnell and Terri Kracht have been recognized for their exceptional contributions and dedication to the community.</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;">Sheriff Peyton C. Grinnell, a native of Eustis, Florida and a graduate of Leesburg High School, has an extraordinary background in leadership and service. As a decorated combat Marine Corps veteran, Sheriff Grinnell displayed exceptional bravery during Operation Just Cause in the Republic of Panama and Operations Desert Shield/Storm in the Middle East. Since joining the Lake County Sheriff&#8217;s Office in 1994, Sheriff Grinnell has held various positions, including Criminal Investigations, Uniform Patrol, Organized Crime and Intelligence, Training Director, and Community Services and Public Information. He holds an impressive educational background, including an Associate&#8217;s degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Organizational Management, and completed prestigious courses at the Southern Police Institute, the University of Louisville, and the FBI National Academy. Sheriff Grinnell is actively involved in numerous professional associations and community organizations, reflecting his commitment to public safety and community welfare.</p>

<p style="font-weight: 400;">Terri Kracht, the second inductee, has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to serving others throughout her life. Starting with her involvement in the Girl Scouts during elementary school, Terri developed a passion for helping others. Although there may have been a brief hiatus during high school, her commitment to community service was reignited during her time as a Jaycee, where she garnered national recognition for her outstanding service. As her career progressed, Terri became president of a prominent healthcare industry organization, further honing her leadership skills and deepening her understanding of serving others. Her involvement with the United Way, both as a Loaned Executive and a Board Member, allowed her to contribute to the betterment of numerous local nonprofit organizations. Even in retirement, Terri continues to dedicate her time and expertise to organizations such as the LifeStream Foundation, Building Blocks Ministries, and The Animal League, with a special focus on advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The induction of Sheriff Peyton Grinnell and Terri Kracht into Leadership Lake County&#8217;s Hall of Fame serves as a testament to their exceptional leadership abilities, outstanding community service, and commitment to making a positive impact. Their tireless efforts have touched the lives of countless individuals, and their contributions have significantly enriched the Lake County community.</p>
<p style="font-weight: 400;">The award ceremony honoring the inductees took place during the annual graduation ceremony held in Groveland Florida on May 18, 2023.</p>
