The event will be in the parking lot of the Clermont Performing Arts Center, 3700 S US HWY 27. Kids from 6-12 years of age will be participating in this fun yet informative event. Participants will first have their bicycles inspected and their helmets checked for proper fitting. Helmets will be provided to those who need a helmet, if inventory is available.

After the safety inspections, the participants will take part in a bicycle skills development course. The course will consist of several different stations, each for a different type of skill. The courses will cover signals, circling, avoiding debris in the roadway, and balancing on the bike. This program is designed to promote bicycle safety. Participants that successfully complete the skills course will receive a certificate of completion and an event medal. There will be 3 bicycles raffled off to participants during the event as well.

Event registration ended on November 1^st, in order to guarantee a t-shirt for participation, but we still encourage youth between the ages of 6 – 12 to come out and participate. You can sign up at the start of the event, just bring your helmet and bicycle.

This event helps to promote awareness of the importance of riding your bike safely on the roadway. Come on out and have a great time showing off your skills and learning new ones along the way. There will be refreshments available for the participants. We will also have a food drive donation box onsite, located at the registration table, for those able to donate canned goods. The canned goods will support the Busses and Backpacks program, affiliated with the South Lake Community Ministries, that provides food to children in need. We are excited to have you join us this Saturday, November 13^th.
