On February 17, Clermont Mayor Gail Ash held her monthly “Coffee and Conversation” at Corelli’s Italian Restaurant, located at 1042 E. Hwy 50, Clermont. The popular Italian restaurant will soon have an additional shop next to the Moonlight Players Theatre in downtown Clermont.
The Mayor shared the latest updates on the growing Clermont business community.
Highway 50
At Home, A Home Decor Superstore (Opening in July). It will move into the location presently occupied by K-Mart. K-Mart will be closing in early March.
College Station is a commercial development, located at the southwest corner of Hancock Road and State Road 50 (next to Chick-Fil-A). The 11,000 sq. ft. complex is expected to house restaurants and multiple retail and professional spaces.

Cubesmart – a 20,000 square-foot residential, self-storage facility, located on 5.75+ acres of land on the southeast corner of Hancock Road and Trade Avenue.
Evolv Kitchen, offering fully-cooked, individually portioned & customized meals will be opening within the next few weeks at 1203 West Highway 50, (the previous location of Spiros Pizza Restaurant).
Home2Suites-Clermont, a 100-room hotel located on Hwy 50 near Legends Way. Opening in May 2018.
Home Goods, modern furniture, and décor- located at 1718 SR 50 is opening Fall of 2018. Home Goods will be next door to Lucky’s Market
Hurricane Grill and Wings – coming to Clermont, East Hwy 50
Lucky’s Market, an organic grocer, is still in the process of remodeling the old Sweet Bay building located at 1720 Hwy 50. Opening March 7. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10 am
Mind Immersions, a Virtual Reality Entertainment Center, will be located next to McAllister’s on Hwy. 50,
Mind Masters Escape Room will open in the Spring. A great office team building or family experience. Located on East Highway 50, Clermont.
Ford Quicklane – Ford of Clermont is expanding to add a 12-bay quick service center.
Sherwin Williams will be building on the vacant property located at 840 E. Hwy 50. (next to Wendy’s).
Urgent Care Center (Hancock, near Hwy 50)
Hwy 27
Boba Tea will locate by the Epic Theater. What is Boba Tea, also called pearl tea or bubble tea? It’s a sweet drink that combines milk, flavored tea & tapioca pearls that are sucked up through a large straw.
Chick-Fil-A is coming to Hammock Ridge Road & US 27, Clermont (opening projected Fall 2018)
Growler Orlando West, located at Clermont Landing near Flippers. Expected to open in mid-2018
Planet Fitness is coming to Hwy 27.
Seal Swim School will locate in the Clermont Hillside Terrace Complex. http://www.sealswimschool.com
This Honest Foods Co. (Cooking lessons and retail) opening in Clermont Landing at 2419 S. Highway 27, next to Kay Jewelers. It will have a cooking school on site. The chef/owner has appeared on the Food Channel.
Totland, an indoor playland for children at the Citrus Tower Center, will open March/April 2018
Twistee Treat – Will locate near Kings Ridge on S. US 27. Specific location unavailable. Opening May 2018.
SkyZone, 2510 S. Highway 27, is expanding.
Diary Queen was unable to find its perfect home thus will not, at this date, be coming to the Clermont area.
Downtown Clermont
Clermont Brewing Co. – Coming to 750 W DeSoto Street in spring of 2018. The owners had planned to renovate the existing structure but so much work needed to be done that they decided to demolish and rebuild.
Corelli’s Restaurant, located in the K-Mart Shopping Center, is opening a second shop in Downtown Clermont at 732 Ste B, Montrose, Clermont http://www.corellisrestaurant.com
RusTeak – Coming to the location next to Lilly’s on the Lake.
Suncreek Brewery, Savory Deli and Michael’s Ali Coal Fired Pizza, located on West Minneola Avenue in Downtown Clermont, will open the spring of 2018.
The Florida Angler, a fishing outfitter, will be opening on Montrose St. (Merchandise and lessons available.)
12th Street
The Clermont Public Services facility, located at 400 12th Street, has been housed in what was meant as a temporary facility for over 30 years. Plans are now in the works to build a new complex on property located south of Hooks Street and East of Hancock Road. The facility will serve the current and future needs of the city.
MINNEOLA
Hills of Minneola – 1,834 acre master planned community near the Florida Turnpike Interchange and Hancock Road. A 600-unit apartment complex will be coming soon as well as a mix of offices, shops and residences.
RaceTrac, a convenience store and gas station, will build on property located at U.S Hwy 27 and W. Washington St., Minneola.
