Project Scholars presents the 20th Annual Pig on the Pond Community Festival in Clermont’s Waterfront Park from March 9 – March 11.

Pig On The Pond is an event of Project Scholars, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which provides educational scholarships and support to local students.  Additionally, more than 20 local non-profit organizations participate in the festival as a means to conduct fundraising for educational purposes.

This family-friendly festival is one of South Lake’s largest events and includes delicious barbecue, live entertainment, thrilling carnival rides, fireworks and more.

Friday at 5 pm, the weekend kicks off with The Chili Challenge Cook-Off presented by Faith Neighborhood Center, midway carnival, crafter, racing pigs, BBQ and much more.

Saturday at 10 am, activities begin with Wakefest – wakeboard competition and paddleboard demonstrations, Kids Zone, racing pigs, crafters, midway carnival, live entertainment, and BBQ.

At 4 pm, contemporary country music artist Collin Raye will take the stage to perform his hits “On the Verge,” “One Boy, One Girl,” “What the Heart Wants,” “Every Second,” “That Was a River,” and “Anyone Else.”  Seats are available with the event admission and are based on a first-come, first served basis. Fireworks over Lake Minneola will begin at 9:15 pm and cap off this fun-filled day.

Sunday at 11 am. begins the third day of family fun. Check out the Swamp Brothers, Robbie and Steven Keszey, paddleboard demonstrations, live entertainment, racing pigs, crafters, and BBQ.

Tickets are $5 adults and $3 children 2-6 (children under 2 are free). Carnival ride tickets are 10 for $10.  Unlimited carnival ride armbands are available for $20 Saturday from 1 pm – 7 pm and Sunday from 11 am – 6 pm. Visit the website PigonthePond.org for shuttle details.
