UPS Store-Clermont #4670 was formally welcomed into the business community at a ceremonial ribbon cutting officiated by The South Lake Chamber of Commerce and celebrated with family, friends, and well-wishers.
The UPS Store is locally owned and operated by Joshua Steele. I met Joshua and was able to learn about the owner and his business.
TABLET: Joshua, can you tell me a little about the family?
Joshua: I grew up in Upstate New York and moved to Central Florida in 1993 with my mom who was starting her own business. My wife Vanessa is originally from Venezuela. We have 2 sons, Elijah 13 years old and Josiah 8 years old.
Tablet: Two son! They must keep you busy. Do you have any spare time?
Joshua: While not working, we spend a lot of time at Monster Truck shows. I’ve coached both of the boys’ Little League baseball teams since they were 4 years old.
TABLET: What made you decide to open a UPS Store?
Joshua: I started my first job in 1995 while I was in high school. It was at a Mail Boxes Etc. which became The UPS Store Franchise in 2003. In 1995 I began working as a sales associate working 20 hours a week and ended up managing the store for the final 16 years. I managed the store for the owner who lived in Ohio. In September 2016, I purchased The UPS Store in Clermont.
TABLET: Tell me about the Store
Joshua: In addition to packaging and shipping, we focus on small business’ marketing needs. We like to think of ourselves as outsourced business partners. We print everything: business cards, posters, banners. We design, print, and mail direct mail for small business. We offer shredding, laminating and other business services. Our entire staff are Notary Public. We love to help our customers.
TABLET: You sound like you have a lot of pride in your staff and your business.
Joshua: We pride ourselves on our customer service. We have the unique ability to partner with small businesses in our community and offer them a variety of business services to help their business thrive.
