The Lake County Adult Literacy Program is designed to help learners improve their skills and meet goals such as being able to read the label on a prescription bottle, communicate with their child’s teacher, pass the GED, or complete an online job application. Learners are paired with qualified tutors to work together to meet their goals. This program is free and offered at the 15 libraries throughout Lake County.

“The literacy program helped give me the confidence and knowledge needed to get a better job. My tutor was so helpful and patient!”   — C. Acosta, adult student.
