South Lake Regional Park

The Lake County Board of County Commissioners is inviting the community to the groundbreaking ceremony for the South Lake Regional Park at 9 am on Friday, April 6 at Max Hooks Road, Groveland.

When complete, the planned 141-acre South Lake Regional Park will feature eight softball fields; four youth and two adult baseball fields; eight multi-purpose fields; two cricket fields, restroom and concession buildings; playgrounds; pavilions; volleyball, basketball, tennis and pickleball courts; boardwalk and nature trails; canoe launch; fishing pier; and dog park.

Speakers at the event will include Lake County Board of County Commissioners Chairman Tim Sullivan, Lake County Commissioner Sean Parks, Lake County Sheriff Peyton Grinnell, City of Groveland Mayor Dina Sweatt and South Lake Chamber President David Colby.
