Lake Minneola High School Sports Week In Review (April 9-14)

Monday, April 9

  • The Varsity Softball Team was defeated by South Lake High, 12 – 9.

Wednesday, April 11

  • The Hawks Baseball Team beat East Ridge High 3 – 2 on a three-run home run by Logan Alaniz.  Donovan Martens and Cameron Johnson pitched extremely well.
  • The Girls Lacrosse team defeated Lake Nona 11 – 10 in a close match. Emily Bracht and Andrea Schmidt both had hat tricks.

Thursday, April 12

  • Both Boys Lacrosse teams beat Lyman High by scores of 15 – 0 and 15 – 1.
  • The Lady Hawks Softball Team beat Ocoee twice.  Both times were by the 10-run rule.
  • JV Hawks lost to East Ridge, 9 – 2.
    Both Noah Quintana, Skye’La Gustavus, and Alex D’Ambrosio were all gold medal winners.

Friday, April 13

  • The Baseball Team played extremely well at South Lake before losing in the bottom of the 7th
  • Both Baseball Teams beat East Ridge. The JV won 4 – 3 and varsity won 4 – 2.  Caleb Pundsack had a complete game for the varsity.

COMING UP (WEEK OF APRIL 15 – 21)

District competition for the Spring teams begins this week.

Monday, April 16

  • Softball begins district play next week at home; also,
  • Baseball plays Tavares at 5 pm

Tuesday, April 17

  • Boys Lacrosse starts at West Orange High School
  • Tennis starts on at Lake Cane.
  • Track and Field competes at Windermere High.
  • Softball plays at South Lake

Thursday, April 19

  • Baseball will travel to Wekiva High and
  • Softball will travel to South Sumter High
