Lake Minneola High School Sports – Week In Review (April 16-20)
Monday, April 16
- Baseball was defeated by Tavares, 14 – 6.
Tuesday, April 17
- Boys Lacrosse team won the first round of the District Tournament to advance to the Championship game. This is the first time in school history for Boys Lacrosse. The Hawks defeated Montverde 12 – 11 to advance.
- In an exciting game at South Lake, the Softball Team took a 4 – 3 lead into the 7thinning on Senior Night for South Lake. The South Lake Silver Eagles won the game 5 – 4, on a walk-off home run.
- In District play for Tennis, Syelinda Kithome advanced at # 2 singles, while Syelinda Kithome and Riley Winslow advanced for # 2 doubles.
Thursday, April 19
- The Girls Tennis team finished in third place in the District after their matches
- Boys Lacrosse finished in second place in the District, losing to West Orange 13 – 11.
- The Lady Hawks Softball Team lost at South Sumter by a score of 8 – 4.
- Baseball defeated Wekiva 10 – 0. Tyler Smith hit a home run for the Hawks.
This Week (April 23-27)
Tuesday, April 24
- Baseball plays at home against Eustis
Wednesday, April 25
- District competition for Softball begins this week. Lake Minneola plays at 7 pm at home.
Friday, April 27
- Baseball will play Inspiration on Senior Night.
- The softball district championship will also be on Friday.
