This week under seasonably mild conditions, 101 people ran, jogged and walked the course along the shore of Lake Minneola. There were 16 first timers and 13 participants recorded new Personal Bests.

The first male to finish was first-time parkrunner Chris Lutz in an impressive time of 15:53, just 10 seconds off the course record!  The second and third position went to our Clermont regulars, Kevin Grogan, in at 18:07, followed by Josh Castleman at 19:30.

Nina Kraft was the first female to cross the line at 20:46, while Sheri Fraser was second at 21:58 and Alexis Hill rounded out the top three at 22:24.

This week one of our regular runners and volunteers, Larry Hevner celebrated his 70thbirthday by running in his 176thparkrun finishing in a nice time of 28:22. A tasty cake was enjoyed by all at Cheeser’s restaurant after the run!

The Clermont Waterfront parkrun takes place every Saturday morning at 7:30 am starting at Lake Hiawatha Preserve, 450 12th St, Clermont, FL 34711.

The female record is held jointly by Kate BAZELEY who recorded a time of 17:17 on February 20th, 2016 and by Ani VELTCHEVA who recorded a time of 17:17 on March 18th, 2017. The male record is held by Jonathan GLEN who recorded a time of 15:43 on August 6th, 2016.

Clermont Waterfront parkrun started on 27th April 2013. Since then 5,862 participants have completed 17,623 parkruns covering a total distance of 88,115 km, including 2,919 new Personal Bests.
