Seven years ago your local Genealogical Society decided to help Boy Scouts who are interested in earning their Genealogy Merit Badge. Currently 39 boys have graduated from this 8-week program.

This year Pastfinders of South Lake County; Genealogical Society is mentoring 9 boys from troops 268 and 784. On May 10th these boys will be presenting their findings and what they have learned about the science of genealogical research to the group.

Admission is free and the general public is welcome to attend.  The meeting will be held at Cooper Memorial Library 2525 Oakley Seaver Drive in Clermont, from 4:30 pm -7:00 pm.
