On March 27, The Kiwanis Club of Clermont set aside the 4th Tuesday meeting of each month as an evening meeting.

The first purpose of these evening meetings is to make the club more accessible to its current members who are not able to make all of the lunch meetings.

The second purpose is to allow new members who work or go to school during the day to attend the club meeting.

A third purpose for the change is to allow Club sponsored Service Leadership Program  Members, such as Key Clubs, CKI, etc., as well as their parents or other family members, to take a more active part in the Kiwanis Family activities of the club.

These evening meetings will help the club expand to a new demographic, such as younger members. The format for the evening meetings will not be as formal as the regular noon meetings.

The new members attending the 4th Tuesday evening meetings will remain focused on their service impact rather than administrative concerns—making it a great option for busy lifestyles. Since they are still part of the host club, these members will enjoy the benefits of Kiwanis, including elected positions, attendance at conventions, Kiwanis magazine, and insurance coverage.

The evening meetings will be held on the 4th Tuesday evening each month at 5:30 pm in the meeting room at the IHOP located on US Hwy 27 in Clermont.

The regularly scheduled meetings are still held every Tuesday, except the 4th Tuesday. The lunch begins at 11:15 am and the meeting starts at 11:45 am. The location of these meetings is the Green Valley Country Club — Clear Lake Inn at 14601 Green Valley Blvd. Clermont.
