May 4th

First Friday Food Trucks and Music On Montrose

First Friday is a great way to celebrate the beginning of the weekend. The fun starts at 5:30 pm. in Downtown Clermont.  Bring your lawn chairs and listen to the music, select from a wide variety of food from the Food Trucks and enjoy browsing the shops and kid-friendly vendor offerings.  The Clermont Downtown Partnership will be introducing its Historic Trolley at its ribbon cutting that morning at 8:30 am by Cheesers Palace Cafe. That evening the trolley will be proudly displayed at the First Friday event. The trolley will begin its first run on Saturday morning. Free rides the month of May.

May 5th

Clermont Waterfront Festival/ Dragon Boat Festival at Waterfront Park, starting at 7:30 am. 5K Run, Dragon Boat Races, Food Trucks and Vendors, Kidzone, Live Entertainment and Canoe Sprint. An exciting way to spend the day. All proceeds to benefit New Beginnings (programs empower the homeless, hungry and poor)

Spring Flower Festival -The Pink Bow Foundation will host their Second Annual Downtown Clermont Spring Flower Festival from 10 am to 8 pm on Montrose Street, 8th Street and Minneola Avenue for the entire family to enjoy. As you waltz through our beautiful flower-filled streets; let the melodic notes of local bands and barbershop quartets evoke memories of a much simpler time. Enchant your palate by sampling local culinary delights, partake in our Orange Blossom Bonnet Parade and shop from over 50 local artisanal merchants. There will be garden & flower vendors, crafts, gourmet food trucks, train rides, Bourbon & Bubbles Mobile Bar, live music, DIY Garden Workshops, a petting farm, hay & pony rides, a rock climbing wall, a special Kids’ Zone and over 50 open local merchants stores.  In honor of Derby Day, they will have their own exciting Kentucky Dachshund Derby Race. Register your pet for the race on the Clermont Village website. Free admission and free parking!

 Clermont American Gothic Day: Take a walk through history several blocks away at the nearby Clermont Historic Village, located at 490 West Avenue and Osceola Street by Lake Minneola. They will also be hosting a special day on Saturday, May 5 from 10 am to 4 pm with costumed tour guides with free admission and free parking. A $2 donation per adult is requested to help support their historic efforts and to maintain the properties. For more information, visit: www.ClermontVillage.org.

Live In Central Park (Revisited) Simon & Garfunkel at Clermont Performing Arts Center. A celebration of historical, iconic concert events from New York’s Central Park, re-created using bona fide set-lists. These are not impressions or impersonation; but a re-visit with the music that made these nights magical.

Sunday, May 6

The weekly Farmer’s Market is a free outdoor event held every Sunday from 9 am – 2 pm.  Free close-in parking.  Unique Downtown shops, delicious dining and many quality vendors from produce, eggs, fish, breads, crafts and more.
