Terry Moherek, a charter member of Beta Theta, an Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) philanthropic organization, recently presented a donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Lake and Sumter County. Lucy Hage, also a member of Beta Theta, sits on the Board of the Boys & Girls Club and graciously accepted the check.

The Boys & Girls Club of Lake and Sumter County has various club locations throughout the counties.  In Clermont, the Club is located at the Clermont Arts & Recreation Center, 3700 S. Hwy 27, Clermont.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Club is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

The non-profit organization engages youth in programs that encourage academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character and citizenship.

Beta Theta hosts an annual Mardi Gras-themed fundraiser. This year the service organization was able to raise over $17,000. All proceeds will be distributed to local scholarships and charitable organizations in the south Lake Community.

Save the Date!  Beta Theta will be celebrating its 15th Mardi Gras Celebration at Clermont Performing Arts Center on February 23, 2019.
