On May16, the Seventh Annual Clermont Ride of Silence will take place at Waterfront Park starting at 6:30 pm. The mission of the Ride of Silence is to honor bicyclists killed by motorists, promote sharing the road and provide awareness of bicycling safety.
The ride will start with a small memorial presentation for all those riders who have been hit, injured and/or killed by motorists. The memorial ride will be a slow-paced 8-mile, counterclockwise route around Lake Minneola.
The Clermont Police Department Bike Unit will be participating and assisting with the memorial ride.
