Anselmo Gonzalez has been baking for over 50 years.  At the young age of 15, Anselmo began his baking apprenticeship in Mexico and, by the time he immigrated to the United States in 1986, he owned several bakeries in Mexico City and surrounding areas.

After moving to Florida, Anselmo worked as a baker at Winn Dixie- Orlando while he set up shop in Groveland. That was close to 20 years ago and today, he is a long-time resident of Groveland and established business owner of Gonzalez Bakery and Taqueria, located at 1210 W Broad St, on the west side of Groveland.

His love of baking hasn’t waned.  He is still baking breads, cookies, donuts and pastries and his customers keep returning for the authentic Mexican food, freshly baked goods, and friendly service.

If you haven’t visited the bakery and taqueria, drop by and discover a Groveland gem.
