There are many exciting new businesses coming to the South Lake community and Clermont Mayor Gail Ash held her monthly coffee at Twisted Flavors Baked Bar, located at 763 Montrose St. Clermont to discuss the new projects in the works.

Coffee House of Horrors– New location and open Sundays. Offering flavored coffees, quiche, and baked goods. Located at 17415 7thSt. Ste A, Montverde.


Highway 50

At Home, A Home Decor Superstore, former K-Mart location (estimated opening soon). Now hiring

Blue Water Car Wash will be opening late fall/winter.

College Station is a commercial development located at the southwest corner of Hancock Road and State Road 50 (next to Chick-Fil-A). Businesses are opening now through this fall.

Cubesmart – a 20,000 square-foot residential, self-storage facility, located on 5.75+ acres of land on the southeast corner of Hancock Road and Trade Avenue.

Cycling Hub will be moving from Oakley Seaver to Hancock Village. Opening August/September.

Fifty West Class A Office Space – Class A office space, new retail and rooftop restaurant. Fifty West will be located on east SR50. Designed by local Clermont Powell Studio Architecture.

Amish Pretzel Shop (2409 US 27) near Epic Theater (opening in late summer)

Boba Tea will locate near Epic Theater (opening this Fall)

Edible Arrangements will be opening in Aug./Sept. in the former comics store next to Epic Theater.

Chick-Fil-A is coming to Hammock Ridge Road and US 27, Clermont (opening projected Fall/Winter 2018)

Growler Orlando West, a micro-brewery located at Clermont Landing near Flippers is expected to open Fall of 2018.

Planet Fitness is coming to Hwy 27 by Anderson Hill in early 2019.

DOWNTOWN CLERMONT

Clermont Brewing Co– Coming to 750 W DeSoto Street. Construction has begun. (opening winter of 2018)

Corelli’s Restaurant, located in the K-Mart Shopping Center, is opening a second shop in Downtown Clermont at 732 Montrose, next to Moonlight Players (NOW OPEN).

Florida Angler, a fishing outfitter, will be opening at 786  Montrose St. this Fall (Merchandise and lessons available.)

RusTeak Restaurant– Coming to the location next to Lilly’s on the Lake. Opening Date TBD.

Suncreek Brewery, Savory Deli, and Michael’s Ali Coal Fired Pizza, located on West Minneola Avenue in Downtown Clermont, will open in mid-August.

VP Skytop Wine/Bourbon Bar – a restaurant with wine and bourbon bar /rooftop lounge. The business will be constructed on property located at 752 W. Montrose (Engel & Volker /across from Hanks Electric). It’s in the planning stages. Groundbreaking by end of the year.

New Projects

Bed & Breakfast w/Boutique at 550 West Street (formerly Pasta Vino Restaurant).  Currently in the planning stages.

Rendering.

Victory Pointe Condos – a 17-unit condominium complex overlooking Victory Pointe. Located at the intersection of Montrose and 10. Groundbreaking tentatively scheduled by end of the year. Preselling units at $350,000 -$375,000 (subject to change).

Woodwinds Apartments (affordable housing) is accepting applications. The Woodwinds Community will provide 96 affordable 1,2,3 bedroom apartments.   New Beginnings of Central Florida broke ground nearly a year ago on the 10-acre site on South Grand Highway near the intersection of Citrus Tower Boulevard. Check the website for information.
