The rain didn’t dampen the spirits of family, friends, and clients who gathered for the grand opening celebration of Alive and Well, located at 207 North Hwy 27, suite A, Minneola.

Members of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce officiated at the ribbon cutting and Minneola’s Mayor Pat Kelley welcomed the owner Mellissa Jagrup-Lee to the business community.

Alive and Well offers counseling for adults, teens, kids, families and couples with difficult issues such as anger, anxiety, depression, abuse, and suicidal thoughts. Massage and yoga services are also available.

“This has been a 2-1/2 year journey and a life-long dream to get to this point”, said  Mellissa. “Our wellness event is our introduction to the community as a one-stop shop in taking care of your mind, body and spirit”.

Mellissa went on to describe Alive’s mission as creating a healthy and supportive environment that fosters and enhances personal effectiveness with respect for individual needs by promoting positive change and self-sufficiency.

Finances should not become a barrier for people to get the help and support they need, said Mellissa. Alive and Well is offering monthly specials. She welcomes everyone to drop by her office to learn more or visit Alive and Well
