This past Saturday’s parkrun was one for the record books. The 214 people in attendance tied the Clermont waterfront parkrun record. Along with the record numbers, there were also a lot of record times.

Out of the many people who jogged, walked, and ran the beautiful 3.1-mile course along Lake Minneola, an astonishing 45 of them recorded new Personal Bests. There were 61 first timers and representatives of 26 different clubs. It’s pretty clear that this was a great weekend for parkrunners!

The top three male runners this week all had very strong performances. first timer. David Henderson came in Jeremy Arguelles finished second with a 17:15, and high schooler Isaac Jacobs came in at 17:54 for third place. Brianna Heirs finished as the first female for the second week in a row with a new PB of 21:09, congrats Brianna! Second first-timer Julie Nunn in 21:27, and third place was Samantha Lopez in a new PB of 21:48. Tony Taylor, from the UK, ran his 100th parkrun this weekend, congrats Tony!

All of the participants this weekend did amazing, congratulations to all the runners and walkers! We hope to see everyone again next weekend.

The Clermont Waterfront Parkrun takes place every Saturday morning at 7:30 am. It starts at Lake Hiawatha Preserve, 450 12th St, Clermont. This is a FREE event open to people of all levels.
