Kelly LaFollette

Clermont City Manager Darren Gray announced that Kelly LaFollette will be the new communications director effective Sept. 10.

LaFollette, who has been the Lake County communications director for 14 years, will take on similar duties at the city. She will oversee internal and external communications for the county’s largest city, including directing media relations, social media and brand management, among other responsibilities.

Prior to assuming the communications director position at the county, LaFollette oversaw the county’s web development.

Doris Bloodsworth, Clermont’s current Community Director, passes the baton to Kelly.

LaFollette serves as the secretary for the Florida Public Relations Association’s Lake County Chapter, is a graduate of Leadership Lake County’s class of 2006 and earned her Certified Public Manager designation from the Florida Center for Public Management at Florida State University.

Congratulations Kelly!
