Every parkrun brings some fast competition and impressive times. But I’m not sure many of the races will ever surpass this week’s staggering results, specifically in terms of the winner’s time.

UK runner Ollie Garrod dominated the competition, clocking a time of 15:39! No, that’s not a typo… and now it stands as the new Clermont Waterfront parkrun record, surpassing the old record of 15:43. This time is especially impressive considering Florida’s oppressive summer weather. Ollie wasn’t the only person with results to be proud of. Out of the 136 people who ran, jogged and walked the course, 15 recorded new Personal Bests. There were 53 first timers and representatives of 25 different clubs.

Already mentioned, but deserving of a second round of applause, is the first place finisher Ollie Garrod coming in at 15:39. Second place, also with a very solid time of 17:38, was Jeremy Arguelles. Rounding out the podium was Kevin Grogan in 18:09.

The top female finishers were a lot less spaced out than the males. The first place woman was 10 year old Kate Meyers with a 21:16, followed right behind by Lily Henne in 21:17. Only 10 seconds behind was third place Kathleen Mooney in 21:27.

All of the participants this weekend did amazing, congratulations to everyone!
