Montverde – The new season for the Mid-Week Market at Montverde, with an expanding mix of vendors, begins Wednesday, September 5. Hours are 11 am-6 pm, Wednesdays only. The event takes place beneath the mature Oak trees in Kirk Park, an “easy-in, easy out” venue in the middle of Montverde adjacent to CR-455. Free to the public with close-in parking, the Market has a large play area for kids.

Fresh Vegetables

The weekly Market is now accepting applications from Crafters and Artists to add more categories of unique items to the traditional Farmer’s Market-style mix of fresh, homegrown and homemade Cottage Industry items and food vendors this fall. “We’ll become a Mid-Week Farmers and Crafters Market soon,” says Ron Smart of AdComm Creative, the Market’s Management team. “From fresh fish and produce, baked goods, eggs, cheese, made-to-order edibles and treats, guest will find unique, one-of-a-kind items from Crafters and Artists. “This Market will have a wonderful assortment of quality and value each Wednesday,” he says.

Hosted by the Montverde United Methodist Church, the Market helps raise awareness of the church’s food pantry that serves individuals and families throughout the area. Arellano Realty, the Market’s anchor sponsor, helps make this event possible. “We wish to thank The Town of Montverde for allowing us to use Kirk Park,” says Smart. “And, of course,” he concludes, “we appreciate the support shoppers show our vendors. You are the reason the Market is here.”

Pasteries

The Market invites the Montverde community, Montverde Academy teachers, staff and parents, public and homeschool families, neighbors from Winter Garden to Groveland to Howie-in-the-Hills and all 55-plus communities (Summit Greens, Trilogy, Heritage Hills, King’s Ridge and others) to experience this event. Snow Birds, tourists, and day-trippers are always welcome, as are guests interested in relocating to the area.
