Thanks to everyone who turned out to browse and buy, the book sale resulted in over $6,000 in funds to be used by the “Friends” to continue supporting programs and events that otherwise would not happen. Supporting Cooper Memorial Library fundraising events does so much to provide the monies for more than the necessities. Magazines, DVD’s, children’s programs, cultural events, and more are funded by the “Friends”.

Thank you to Cooper’s Quilters, a state registered guild, for their donation of beautiful quilts and other handcrafted items. The “opportunity drawings” brought in over $500.00.

Sponsorship by local companies is always appreciated so we send out a special thank you to South Lake Tablet for sponsoring the book sale and generously donating advertising space.

If you have books and/or DVD’s that are taking up space in your home, donations are accepted at the library. A small number of items can be left at the front desk while large numbers of items can be unloaded at the back door near the outside “book drop”.  Please knock on the door for assistance. Do not leave boxes of books outside the door. The next sale will be in February. We look forward to seeing you this winter.
