On Thanksgiving morning, November 22, parkrun will be hosting a free 5K at 7:30 am at the trail near Lake Hiawatha Preserve. What better way to start a Thanksgiving morning!

Below are the results of Saturday, September 29 Event #251

During its first years, only a few small parkrun locations existed in the United States. Now, it has spread to many new locations across the country, including Gainesville! Attendance was slightly down this weekend in Clermont due to some regular parkrunners going out to support the Depot Parkrun in Gainesville at its first event. Their opening race was a success, with over 80 people in attendance.

This week at the Clermont waterfront parkrun, 76 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 19 were first timers and 13 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 12 different clubs took part.

Daniel Caldwell won on the men’s side in 18:24. He was followed by Jacob Fletcher and Ben Pickos.

Gillian Lee topped off the female podium in 24:16. Caroline Whitehouse and Susan Lichtensteiger rounded out the top three with their second and third place finishes, respectively.

The event was made possible by 13 volunteers:

Rissie THIELER • Rosie GAY • Cathy KYLE • Kendyl CARDWELL • Josh CASTLEMAN • Sharon GALLANT • Carolyn HARMON • David HARMON • Anne BENINGHOF • Ashley SUMMERLIN • Ann TERECOOK • Joyce TUCKER • Dieter GRUBE

Today’s full results and a complete event history can be found on the Clermont Waterfront parkrun Results Page.
