ANYTIME FITNESS OF CENTRAL FL TEAMS UP WITH

AMERICA’S MIGHTY WARRIORS MILITARY RACE

The 2ndAnnual America’s Mighty Warriors Military Race will be taking place on Sunday, November 4th at 3 pm at Clermont Historic Village WWII Museum.

Kris DeRocker (who served 10 years in the Army Reserve) and Mike Brashear own multiple Anytime Fitness locations in the Central FL area and want to be involved in the effort to honor local veterans and service members.  Anytime Fitness of Central FL will be the presenting sponsor for this year’s event and will also be promoting the race in their facilities.

This unique race will offer an option for everyone.  Participants can do a 2-mile walk/run, a 2-mile walk/run with 5 physical training stations (one for each branch of the U.S. Military), or a 4-mile walk/run with 10 physical training stations.

So far, Leesburg AFJROTC, Mt. Dora AFJROTC, Eustis AFJROTC, Apopka MCJROTC and Minneola Charter’s new JROTC programs have made plans to attend along with local recruiters, veterans’ groups, student groups, and first responders.

So come out and enjoy this patriotic event while raising money for a great charity.  America’s Mighty Warriors is an organization that helps those dealing with PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury, regardless of which branch of the military they served in.  Learn more at AmericasMightyWarriors.org.

Entry fees are low and all participants receive custom dog tags and can also win some great awards. You can win awards as an individual and also as a team.

This event is made possible by Clermont Triathlon Club, Clermont VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars), City of Clermont, Benjamin Mack-Jackson’s Traveling WWII Museum, Clermont Historic Village, Ruby Tuesday of Clermont, Florida Business Brokers and Jordan Greenwood Photography.
