The Lake County Board of County Commissioners will host an investiture ceremony and reception on Tuesday, November 20 at 9 am in the County Commission Chambers of the Lake County Administration Building, located at 315 W. Main St., Tavares.

Having each been elected again this year for a third term, Commissioners Leslie Campione, District 4, and Sean Parks, District 2, will take the Oath of Office and again be sworn in. A reception will follow in the rotunda, and a regularly scheduled County Commission meeting will take place immediately after the intermission.

Commissioner Campione, who serves as Vice Chairman, was first elected to the County Commission in 2010. She is a Eustis native who owns her own law practice focusing on local government, environmental law, real property, business, and land use law. She is a strong proponent of economic development and free market principles and is committed to fostering a climate for positive economic activity, small business ownership, and job creation through good planning and balanced policies that protect valuable natural resources and quality of life.

Commissioner Parks was also first elected to the Lake County Commission in 2010. He is a supporter of economic development and business-friendly initiatives. He championed bringing competitive rowing to Lake County and is passionate about the Wellness Way Area Plan, which will bring high wage jobs to Lake County. He is focused on public safety, parks, and recreation, water resources, as well as roads, infrastructure and connectivity. He was appointed to the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) Governing Board in 2017.
