On November 10, elementary and middle school students from central Florida will descend upon Clermont Middle School Cafeteria from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. to play the 2018-2019 VEX IQ Challenge Next Level. Practice rounds and skills challenges are scheduled between 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Qualifying rounds/finals from 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm   The Clermont Middle School is located at 301 East Avenue, Clermont.

Thirty teams will come together for a non-stop, action-packed day of teamwork challenges where they will compete with their custom-built robots using VEX IQ. For the 2018-2019 VEX IQ Challenge Next Level, students participate in a teamwork challenge as they seek to attain the highest score possible by scoring and stacking colored Hubs in Building Zones, removing Bonus Hubs from the Hanging Structure, and by Parking or Hanging on the Hanging Bar.

The 2018-2019 VEX IQ Challenge Next Level is one in a series of tournaments supported by the REC Foundation and various national, regional, and local sponsors. The competition season culminates each spring at the VEX Robotics World Championship, where these exemplary teams will have the opportunity to challenge their top-ranked peers from around the country and the world.
